Another gift for because her gift art for me [link] was so badass and my old giftart for her [link] is such a pile of shit in comparison. That...and I wanted an excuse to draw her characters again...so there!

And yes, I realize that Whitepaws normally has more birdlike wings, hot that I did before coloring, but I found a picture of him with batlike wings that Huskie had drawn herself, so I figured it would be alright to draw him this way. He seems to be a very versatile character, so, I hope she doesn't mind! Next time I will do it right! Hope you like.

This is quite an interesting piece. I'm quite taken with the texturing and the flow of line used by the artist. This is complimented by the choice of media. In fact-when I think about it, I do detect a certain trace of Art-Nouveaux styling (maybe that's just me) especially in the trail of smoke coming up from the cigarette. Overall, the image is rather nicely composed. The lack (for lack of a better word, so to speak) of background also works to this effect.

My one real quibbles, though, is that the two figures seem to merge together, plus I feel as though a little more colour could have been added to liven it up more, but otherwise, excellent all round.

You use prisma colored pencils, yes? And what do you use to ink your work? -if you don't mind me asking- XD

Wow you REALLY outdid yourself with the coloring of this one. Holy crap. You're the only artist I know who can take an image with such an abundance of dark colors and still make every part of the picture look distinct. And I'm sure he will love the wings because they look awesome, much better than birdlike wings would match with the feel of this pic I think.
The only thing I'm not liking is her foot. I think that if the foot were upside down as such that the seated position would be incredibly uncomfortable. The top of the foot maybe should face out towards the viewer a bit more to make it look like a more natural 'indian style' seated posture. Other than that, though, everything looks fantastic!
