So, Cloud/Ray finally got his hard orders to leave this godforsaken base. He went to the military moving briefing yesterday and scheduled them to pack us up on the 14th of this month and to load all our stuff up on the 15th. Today, he has to go to the Housing Office and let them know that we are leaving so that they can schedule a house inspection sometime after they pack our stuff up and get it out. I'll let you guys know more when I know more.

This means that delays in art will be coming soon. I'll have to disconnect internet service sometime in the very near future, and I'll have my art supplies, for the most part, packed away. Like I said, I'll be noting my commissioners my cell phone number so that you guys can get in touch with me if you get too worried.

All of our paperwork FINALLY got approved for our move to Warner Robins, GA HOPEFULLY some time this month. My husband has yet to receive his "hard" orders, but after he gets them, we will be in a hurried process of getting the military to move most of our stuff while we sort out what we don't want them handling (don't worry, my art supplies and commission stuff is NOT going to be touched by the military whatsoever) and handling mandatory military appointments. This IS going to make a delay in commission completion, though I hope it won't be too horrible. I'll let you guys know through here, my LJ, and my DeviantART journal when all of this is going down, and I plan on working up until the point I have to pack my pencils up *sadface*.

As for other news, I have been sick A LOT lately. I've always had sinus/allergy problems, and every once and a while, they flare up to an almost uncontrollable level. I've had sinus infections at least four times this year, this last one causing my first ever migraine headache. It has not been fun in the least. I've tried to keep up a pretty good pace concerning completing commissions though. I can't tell you how much it means that so many of you guys have faith in me as an artist and want to have pieces of my work. It really keeps me going. Thanks for your continued patience. I'll be noting you all my cell phone number soon just so that, when my internet gets cut in the not too distant future, you'll have some way of being able to contact me. I know how scary it is to send someone your money and not be able to get in touch with them.

I'm currently working on writing a story about Wielder, my main eastern timberwolf fursona, and Skye, the sexy female saluki and alternate mate for Wielder. The general plot revolves around them going to college, a few friends, and a few good choices mixed in with a few bad...kind of a slice of life type deal. Some of it's true, some of it's fiction. I'll start uploading the chapters soon...if it's good enough, I'd love to look at having it published. Anyone know of any publishers of anthro/furry fiction that would be willing to take a look at it once it's finished?

Oh, and happy 2010, guys! I hope it's a good year for everyone. I know at least a few of you who have taken some hard knocks this year, and I'm sorry. Let's hope time heals all wounds.

Sick husband is sick. He went into Sick Hall this morning, and they put him on Quarters for two days which means he'll be sitting at home in the bed. I fixed him some oatmeal and hot chocolate this morning and then fixed him soup for lunch. Right now, I'm making him sit in the bed on his laptop while I fix roast for dinner. Had an awesome weekend! Cloud's buddies from work came over on Friday night to play Magic the Gathering like the nerdly little shits they all are. I had ordered a sandwich tray with all the fixin's from Subway, backed a peach cobbler, and had little sandwich rolls with ham and such for them to nibble on. One of their wives, who I adore, came over, and we watched Bambi II with her kid and played Super Wii Mario while the boys continued to summon monsters and Planeswalkers well into the night.

Saturday, Cloud and I put up our Christmas tree since it seems like, while the PCS process is still going on, we might be staying here for a while longer. It's gorgeous this year. We did have one of the strands end up going out as we were putting the ornaments on the tree, but, thankfully, Target still had the same kind of white button lights that we had bought the previous year. So, know big deal.

Sunday, we went over to Bryan and Nikki's house so that we could let our boys play some more Magic. Nikki, Trish (another wife of a nerdling), and I painted some Christmas ornaments I had bought at Michael's. Other than that, we just generally sat around making fun of our respective dorks while they made fun of us. It was good all around!

Gonna try to get some Christmas shopping for my boy done today.

Done with prismacolor and copic markers, these pieces are bright and eye-catching. I will combine SOME colored pencil, ink, or watercolor depending on the piece to make certain things work better in the piece.

Simple Fine Art Marker Pieces $25.00-60.00
Done with prismacolor and copic markers. These pieces are much like the simple prismacolor pencil pieces, just done with marker and are usually a bit less expensive. Yet again, I might add a touch of mixed media if the commissioner and I both feel that the piece would benefit.

Like the look of colored pencil but don't want to pay the price of either a premium or simple prismacolor pencil piece? Prang pencils are also a professional colored pencil brand, but are less eXpensive and easier to handle, hence the cheaper price. They yield a wonderful array of color and texture. Can be simple or complex.

Other Types of Commissions
There are other media out there I am willing to work with but just don't have the demand for. If you are wanting something like a graphite sketch or just some inked lineart, note me! We can talk about doing just about anything you'd like!

Rules For commissioning Me
---I won't do certain pieces that depict things such as rape, scat, watersports, "cub" porn, or highly offensive subjects. If you have a question about what I will and won't do, note me.
---I will draw porn (just note me your idea, and I'll let you know whether or not I'd be comfortable with it), violence, gore, etc. Just note me if you have any questions.
---I will draw your character with one of my own or someone else's as long as you have their permission.
---Your piece might take a long time to get to. I display my list publically so that all of my commissioners can see that I am working on the list. You will be given several methods to contact me upon payment of your commission. You have the right to use any and all of those methods, please do so. However, keep in mind that real life does happen, and I have to tend to it just like anyone else would.
---I reserve the right to turn down ANY commission for ANY reason. I don't often do this, but I figure it's just a good thing to write so that no one has a right to a massive case of butthurt in case I do have to exercise this right one day.
---You have the right ask for changes to your commission UNTIL you approve the sketch. After that, unless I have made an error in coloring or the like, it's set in stone. Keep this in mind when approving the sketch. However, often times, after I transfer the figures to the final paper, I will scan the piece with the background penciled in just to make sure everything is fine from there.

Payment and Shipping
---Methods of payment I will accept include well concealed cash (USD only), money order, and paypal. However, with paypal, I require that you pay an extra $5.00 because paypal charges me to use it. That said, if you use paypal, I will use the leftover money for insurance on your package.
---I will not start your commission until at least part of it is paid for. If you want to make several payments, that is fine, but the first payment will be calculated as if all you were paying for was a sketch. This price is negotiable.
---I ship all of my commissions in either cardboard mailers or bubble mailers (mainly for badges) so that the postal service doesn't ruin them.
---Shipping for orders within the USA is $3. International shipping is $5.
---I WILL NOT INSURE YOUR PIECE UNLESS YOU GIVE ME THE MONEY TO DO SO. The exception for this rule is if you paid with paypal. That being said, I have not had a commission get lost in the mail yet.

paper, or bristol board (depending on the medium).

There's a definite reason for the hefty price. These pieces take a long time to do. Lots of people love the effect, but it's expensive and takes lots of effort and time.
